CO-FOUNDER / PRINCIPAL
Troy Burgess
Troy Burgess brings decades of experience across entertainment, international business, corporate branding and creative leadership. His career spans performance, creative direction, executive leadership and branded entertainment, working with artists including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Cher, Elton John, Cyndi Lauper and Paula Abdul, and with global brands including Toyota, Sony, Panasonic, Nike, Intel, NEC and NTT DoCoMo.
His background includes extensive work with leading advertising agencies and international brand partners, conceiving, directing and producing branded entertainment and experiential productions across multiple countries around the world. That experience has given him a rare understanding of both sides of the relationship: the artists and creative communities that shape culture, and the brands and businesses seeking meaningful ways to engage with them.
In Tokyo, Troy co-founded a high-end web development and corporate branding company, serving first as Vice President and later CEO, and growing the operation to approximately 30 employees. The company received one of only five Japanese government grants awarded to enhance the country's emerging internet environment and established Japan's first Flash development studio. Among its flagship relationships was Sony Music, for which the company developed, designed and maintained its web presence for five years. The experience added executive, digital and brand leadership to a career already grounded in entertainment, while building firsthand knowledge of Japanese and Asian business culture.
At CIM, Troy brings these worlds together through artist relations, strategic partnerships, creative representation and corporate branding—supported by decades of industry knowledge and a global network of trusted relationships. His focus is on understanding the opportunity, recognizing the right alignment and connecting the right people around the right opportunity.
